The mother of Jun Lin, 33, (Chinese National) offered forgiveness ‘sympathy’ to accused killer Luka Rocco Magnotta, 29, who has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Jun Lin last month in Montreal.
Zhigui Du offered ‘Sympathy’ to the murderer at the funeral of her son who loved his new country, while he studied at Montreal’s Concordia University.
The funeral had been delayed because after the dismemberment many of the body ports were missing and had to be brought together.
Magnotta is in a Montreal jail awaiting trial.
Magnotta was alleged to have sent his body parts to local political parties and sent some body parts to a school in Vancouver, Canada.
He is in jail in Canada after he escaped to Berlin just after the murder and was extradited back to Canada a few weeks later.
Father Henry Rodriguez, who presided over the emotional ceremony, called Jun a loving and considerate son who loved life and said was killed in an “evil act”.
