Krista Ford – Outrage – Toronto Mayors niece – ‘Don’t dress like a whore’ Twitter apology, too late

Krista Ford,  (now an International story) niece of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford made a tweet recently saying “Don’t dress like a whore” and has since apologized, but women’s groups think she is way offside.

Just what the Mayor needs, another issue, but is he responsible, not at all.

Krista who is the daughter of Mayor Ford’s brother Doug Ford who is also a councillor has tried to start damage control, has not made any comment at this time.

It appears her attempt was to empower women but it clearly backfired.

We all must remember once you click enter on twitter, it can never be taken back, and Krista has already blocked her twitter account from unauthorized followers.

She misspoke and tried to say what women wear is the problem, which is grossly wrong. Women are not the problem, they are the victims, and yet women must be more aware.

I often see young women walking alone at night, up back lanes and at outdoor bank machines without looking around. It’s not what you wear, it’s how you conduct yourself and be prepared.

Mayor Rob Ford tried to sneak into the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) just around 7pm tonight and tried to avoid the media who had spotted him leaving his vehicle to take his family to the EX.

He’s still driving as well, but it didn’t seem like he was reading.

UPDATE: Mayor Ford did make a statement at the CNE, he said “It’s a mistake she made, she regrets and she apologized for it, she’s very young right, I think  we’re all young, and we all did things that we regret when we were younger. And that’s one of the things, she made a mistake and apologized and we have to move on now.”

UPDATE - Nice try Krista, but it doesn’t wash, the apology seems like it has a disclaimer, “I apologize if I did.” You did cause an alarm and an insult, there’s no question, why don’t you JUST apologize properly without the ‘IF’? This embarrassed your father and your uncle and your whole family.

As if your uncle needs this kind of attention, he’s able to create his own embarrassments, without having to apologize for family members stupid comments.

Your father Doug said, “That’s not the way we raised her, and to be very blunt, we chewed her ass out from one end to the other.”

This comment/tweet caused quite a lot of distress to a young women who was actually assaulted as she walked in downtown Toronto, and she wrote an open letter to Krista which caused her so-called apology. You can see it HERE on FaceBook.

Krista was a member of a now defunct,   lingerie football league in Toronto but they are still operating elsewhere.

The Toronto Star won’t let it go, they are not supporters of ‘any’ Ford, and thus have another story today slamming what she said. And just to clear some things up, she is not a ‘KID’ she is a 21-year-old young women and should know better, as an adult.

Toronto’s Mayor Rob Ford under fire again, is he giving up? Will he lose his mayorship?

Toronto, Canada - The people voted Rob Ford into office, and since he arrived has been under fire for all kinds of things. His latest stubbornness has been his action where he sent out City of Toronto letterhead requesting funding for his amateur football team of $3,150. That was wrong.

He is Toronto’s 64th mayor and voted into office in 2010.

He then went on to vote on the ‘conflict-of-interest’  before city council and the Ford haters have come forward and want his removal from office.

He has been ordered to attend court next Wednesday, and answer to questions that will be asked by the plaintiffs lawyer Clayton Ruby. Ruby is suggesting that Ford has ‘lied’ many times on his route to City Hall.

Mayor Ford has not been a fan of The Toronto Star from the beginning and have wanted him removed since he was elected by the people of Toronto. They never seem to let up on him, at every turn, read some of their ARTICLES HERE.

UPDATE: Ford spoke about his fishing trip with Prime Minister Harper in Quebec and answered some questions about his upcoming hearing, you can listen HERE on CFRB.

Ford did admit to Jim Richards on CFRB, that he does read The Star, despite their campaign against him, but just the sports section.

Or you can watch him on CFRB, HERE.

UPDATE: Toronto shooting at night party, 2 dead, one toddler shot, 21 injured. We need ‘Stop-and-Frisk’ in our city NOW! And ‘Start snitching,’ it’s time

Toronto, Canada - We don’t seem to have a problem with ‘Stop-and- Frisk’ at our Airports, why then do we not have it in our city everywhere, to stop these gangsters from running around with loaded weapons.

IMPORTANT UPDATE - What a small world, women who escaped safely from the Eaton Centre terror, was killed in the shootout in Aurora, Colorado today at the movie theatre.

See below for more …

This is not the first shooting in Toronto, just last month there was a shootout at the Eaton Centre a popular downtown tourist site and shopping mall, two dead, a thirteen year old tourist shot in the head, but he will completely survive. After that shooting the police would not disclose the type of weapon used but it was rumored it was a machine gun in the open and crowded food court in the middle of the day.

After the shootout at the Eaton Centre last month our Mayor Rob Ford said, “This is the safest city in the world,” does he still believe that?

We need our politicians and police to stop dicking around and have the ‘balls’ to take some drastic action, like bringing in ‘Stop-and-Frisk’ like they have in New York City. Granted, it does appear to skirt peoples civil rights, but then who in Canada is allowed to carry a loaded gun. Very, very few, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

The shooting occurred at a private party at 10:40 p.m. in Toronto’s east end, and what was a toddler doing awake at that late hour. Many party goers left the incident injured and have not re-surfaced.

Why has it not been reported, who was at the party, what kind of party was it? It was an annual event BBQ arranged by someone. It appears everyone is on edge to single out any ‘type’ of people who may have attended the party, but we all have our suspicions.

Shyanne Charles, 14, and a 23-year-old man were killed at the party and the toddler, 22 month, was only grazed and not life threatening.

Many at the party asked, “why did this happen,” but very few would give their full names to the media or the police. The party was packed with young people under 30, but the problem is, nobody saw anything.

It’s time we all wake up, and start talking, and put an end to this violence in our great city, they (hoodlums) want you to shut up, and not turn them in, in that respect, it will just continue and never end.

‘Stop snitching’ How’s that working, is that the solution, or is it the problem?

Let’s stop this non-sence and get these hoodlums and gangsters off our streets. It may be your child or loved one that is next to be killed.

Anyone with video or information is asked to report to Toronto Police Service.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: It’s a small world ..

Jessica Ghawi (Redfield) was visiting Toronto from Texas, during this terrible shooting, and had just left the food court just minutes before the gun fire opened. She escaped with her life, and yet today she was killed in the horrible shooting at the Century 16 Theatre in Aurora, Colorado.

Twelve people were killed and over 70 shot as they watched the Batman movie, Dark Night Rises at 12:30 pm this morning. God bless her family, she will be greatly missed.

UPDATE: Mayor Rob Ford of Toronto and Star reporter Daniel Dale peaking over Ford’s backyard fence

Toronto, Canada - Mayor Rob Ford of  Toronto is a little upset that a Toronto Star reporter was sneaking around his backyard fence in the early evening and he rushed at him, while he was peeking over the fence, scaring the ‘shit’ out of him.
Latest UPDATE: Toronto Police Service investigated the accusations and decided not to charge Daniel Dale with anything. I still don’t think he did the right thing.
Since Mayor Rob Ford has been elected, the Toronto Star has done nothing short of hounding him, and trying to dig up any dirty stuff they can, because he won the election and they did not approve.
Yes, but the people approved, and we are the ones that elect politicians, not the Star, or any other newspaper.

Since his previous attacks in the Star, he has stopped talking to Toronto Star reporters, and I find that troublesome, since the mayor should talk to all media outlets, whether he agrees what they have to say or not.

I posted this comment on one of the Star stories, yet it never made it into the paper, maybe because it made too much sense and the Star didn’t agree. But it seems whenever there is a ‘scandal’ regarding Rob Ford, the Star leave the comments section open for weeks, but normally they shut them down after one, two days or when the comment numbers get around 100.
It will be interesting to see how long you leave these comments open, because nobody likes what your reporter did.
To say he has won awards, has nothing to do with it.
It’s sleazy, sneaky, and just not right.
I am not even a big Ford supporter, but if anyone does something like this, leave it to the other media, the Star has an agenda, and this makes it even more clear.
What Ford is doing by not talking to the Star is not right, I want our Mayor to talk to all the people, and that means all the media, he is not right either, but what your reporter did, was low and disgusting.
Grow up, both of you. He must talk to all the media and the Star must act professional. What added info could he gather from peeking over Ford’s fence that would relate to the story he is writing?

The comments in the most recent stories about the peeking over the backyard fence by Star reporter Daniel Dale, most of the comments have been behind Ford, and suggest the Star went too far.

The reason Dale was sneaking around, is because he ‘says’ he was investigating a plan by the Mayor to buy some land behind his house which is currently city parkland. It’s not clear how he (Dale) can justify peeking over the fence, to get the story.

UPDATE: Here is a map of the parkland, (click map to enlarge) that Mayor Ford has suggested he wants to buy. But all request by citizens have be declined in the past, to allow citizens to buy city parkland. It’s going to full city council now for a final decision.

But strangely when it is a positive story about Mayor Ford, they shut the comments section down quickly. Does the Toronto Star have an agenda? You bet, they don’t like him and it shows.

Blacks and browns are targeted more than whites in Toronto for spot checks, police even admit it, ‘Stop and Frisk?’

Toronto, Canada - An article in the Toronto Star this week brought about some interesting and disturbing questions about who Toronto Police stop and question. They mention that the statistics are much higher for black and brown skinned people being stopped for investigation when they are out of their home areas?

Do they do the same at places such as Skydome (Rogers Centre,) the Go Train and King and Bay streets? These stops, “fishing expeditions” appear to be done in ‘just’ high crime areas, tell that to black people. It sounds like the “Stop and Frisk” program they have in New York City, where they can pull over or stop anyone, anytime, to see if they have a gun. Recent statistics show, over 576,395 were stopped and frisked, and a very small majority were found to have any guns, or arrests and yet almost 80%, were black or Hispanic.

I wanted to make a comment on the Toronto Star article, but the comments section was CLOSED after one day, and yet when it is about Mayor Rob Ford, the comment section is open for weeks? Be sure to read the comment section in the Star and you will get a feeling about what the folks think about these stops.
Talk about stereotypes, Toronto people feel these stops are warranted, even though very few arrests are completed after the fishing, stops.

I can’t remember when I’ve been stopped for no reason, and is that because I’m a white middle aged male? And if I happen to be in a ‘high crime area’ which may be black, I am not stopped either. Why?

How many white people get pulled over or stopped in Toronto, when they are out of their home area? Very few, unless they are beautiful young white girls.

The statistics in the Toronto Star article are disturbing, and must be reassessed. Remember to always be polite and co-operative, if/when you are ever stopped, because they are set-up for this, and they will win.
